King County Salvage

Saturday, February 6 ~ 9am-4pm

9am-Noon ~ Salvage at Redmond Ridge

1pm-4pm ~ Potting at Issaquah Holding Facility

Join other volunteers digging up trees and shrubs in Redmond Ridge at a site scheduled for development. In the afternoon, we’ll be potting up the salvaged plants at the Issaquah Holding Facility so they can recuperate before going to King County habitat restoration sites. Once replanted, these native plants will help reduce erosion, shade streams and provide wildlife habitat. Special thanks to PacTrust for providing the salvage site.

Volunteers are welcome to attend either event or join us for the full day. For directions and event information, view the flyer here. To sign up, contact Cindy Young by sending an email to cindy.young@kingcounty.gov or calling 206.296.8065.
