Ivy Removal in Mountain Beaver Habitat

Saturday, March 6 ~ 10am-2pm

Grace Cole Park – Lake Forest Park

Come spend the day helping us restore mountain beaver habitat!  This park is being taken over by invasive English Ivy, which climbs trees and crowds out native plants.  Help us restore mountain beaver habitat by testing your strength against the tangled roots of invasive English Ivy. Treats will be provided by Honey Bear Bakery of Lake Forest Park.  Please sign up in advance by emailing nisa@cedarriver.org.

Ivy Removal and Landsburg Dam Tour

Landsburg Park – Ravensdale

Come join us for a day at the source of drinking water for nearly one million people in King County!  We will be removing invasive English Ivy near the banks of the Cedar River.  Removing aggressive invasive plants like ivy and restoring native shrubs and plants along the river bank are high priorities in restoring habitat and promoting species diversity.  A mini tour of the Landsburg diversion dam and fish passage facility will be included during the lunch break.  Please sign up in advance by emailing nisa@cedarriver.org.
