Ivy Removal in Mountain Beaver Habitat

Come spend the day helping us restore mountain beaver habitat! This park is being taken over by invasive English Ivy, which climbs trees and crowds out native plants. Help us restore mountain beaver habitat by testing your strength against the tangled roots of invasive English Ivy. Treats will be provided by Honey Bear Bakery of Lake Forest Park. Ivy Removal and Landsburg Dam Tour

Landsburg Park – Ravensdale
Come join us for a day at the source of drinking water for nearly one million people in King County! We will be removing invasive English Ivy near the banks of the Cedar River. Removing aggressive invasive plants like ivy and restoring native shrubs and plants along the river bank are high priorities in restoring habitat and promoting species diversity. Native Tree Planting

Irrigation Project

Return to a site where native trees and shrubs were planted over the fall and winter months. We will be setting up irrigation lines throughout the project site. This big puzzle needs your cooperative efforts! With spring just around the corner, native trees will need to be irrigated for their first few growing seasons. Planting in the Municipal Watershed

Cedar River Municipal Watershed – North Bend
Join us for a day planting native trees and plants in the protected Municipal Watershed. As part of the Cedar River Habitat Conservation Plan, this project will help restore a decommissioned gravel road and stream crossing with native trees and shrubs. Restoration at Rattlesnake Lake

Celebrate the Earth and join us for a day of restoring lakeshore vegetation. We will be removing invasive weeds and planting native trees and shrubs near the Cedar River Watershed Education Center and Rattlesnake Lake. A small tour of the sustainable building features of the Education Center and the history of Rattlesnake Lake will be included. Restoration at Cavanaugh Pond
