April 22, 2006, Earth Day
Habitat Restoration at 14 Lakes and Road 51
Eighty volunteers from Boeing, REI, Seattle University ROTC, and around Puget
Sound rolled up their sleeves, grabbed shovels and planted 1,063 native trees
and shrubs in the protected Watershed. Their tremendous Earth Day energy
has restored a healthy mix of native plants to areas around 14 Lakes and a
4,000 ft. stretch of decommissioned road along the Cedar River.
