Community-based Habitat Restoration
Implementing and managing habitat restoration projects in the Cedar River/Lake Washington Watershed. All community-based restorations are done in partnership with community groups, municipalities, and well-managed, local volunteers.

- Site Planning and Preparation
Develop restoration and land management
plans on both public and private properties including: site visitation
and assessment, development of effective weed control
strategies, recommendations for site-specific planting plans, and

- Weed Suppression/Control
Manually controlling invasive species by
species-specific techniques, managing crews for herbicide application, installing/removing weed control fabric,
and weeding around native planting areas. Contact for details >

- Planting
Planning and management of planting
projects includes: ordering and coordinating the delivery of
the plants, designing planting
plans, and adjusting placement of plants based on site characteristics.
Mulch is also applied as needed. Planting techniques are based on type of plant and soil
